Scarlett Johansson is singing the praises of her husband Colin Jost for his incredible support during a recent film shoot. The 38-year-old actress juggled motherhood to her newborn son Cosmo with filming the new Wes Anderson movie, “Asteroid City.”

Just eight weeks after welcoming Cosmo in August 2021, Johansson had to return to work. In an interview with People, she admitted relying heavily on help: “I hadn’t worked in like, three years or something like that” due to both the pandemic and her new baby.

Thankfully, Jost stepped up to the plate. “He was able to come for like a week or something like that,” Johansson shared, highlighting the importance of his presence, especially for those late-night feedings. “It’s great when it’s your partner there to help you do it,” she added.

This isn’t Johansson’s first experience with motherhood. She shares a six-year-old daughter, Rose, with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac. Johansson and Jost married in 2020 after three years together.

While balancing work and a newborn is challenging, Johansson recently opened up about another aspect of motherhood – the “emotionally abusive” phase with toddlers. On “The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast,” she joked about the dramatic shift in her relationship with Rose once she turned three. “I remember my daughter when she was two, I said, ‘This is great,'” she recalled. “And then she turned three, and it’s like being in an emotionally abusive relationship.”

Despite the challenges, motherhood keeps things interesting for Johansson, both on and off set.
