During the SXSW conference, Selena Gomez mentioned her documentary My Mind & Me and continued to talk about past psychological trauma.
Talking about the release of the documentary related to her journey, Selena said: “The moment I did it, I felt crazy liberated. There was no more hiding, That was probably one of the hardest moments of my life.”
“No one can force me to do that,” the singer born in 1992 said about his mental recovery process, “There are more people who care about me than I care about myself and really wanted me to do things I wasn’t ready for. I had to hit rock bottom and do it in my own time. I like to think and hope that I’m in a better place.”
Selena Gomez’s documentary was filmed over the course of six years, following the former Disney star as she battled bipolar disorder, which left her with extreme depression and anxiety. Also during the conference, the Hollywood star admitted that watching the movie again and reminiscing about her bad moments made her extremely tired.
“It makes me feel bad but I think everyone can relate to this feeling. It’s important to speak to yourself with kindness, but I don’t think I completely understand. It’s sad “Laughing is all the problems I used to complain about, but now I feel grateful,” Selena continued.
