Croatian tennis star Donna Vekic is preparing for the upcoming clay season with a new footwear choice: “THE ROGER Pro Clay” shoes. These sneakers are part of a collection co-designed by tennis legend Roger Federer and boast high performance, timeless design, and superior grip specifically engineered for clay courts (according to On.com).

This switch comes after Vekic launched her own sportswear line, Donna Sport, following her departure from Nike in January 2023. The 27-year-old’s most recent match was a second-round loss at the 2024 Miami Open.

Vekic recently shared a glimpse of her training on Instagram, sporting the $199.99 “THE ROGER Pro Clay” sneakers. These shoes were co-designed by Federer himself and launched a year ago.

Federer, meanwhile, recently endorsed another shoe from On – “The ROGER Clubhouse Pro”. This versatile sneaker is designed for a variety of racquet sports, including tennis, paddle tennis, and even pickleball. In a promotional video, Federer highlights the shoe’s comfort, responsiveness, and stability thanks to features like hidden CloutTec technology and a Speedboard for stability.

This news comes as Vekic prepares for the clay season, which kicks off with the Monte Carlo Masters on April 14th. It remains to be seen if the “THE ROGER Pro Clay” shoes will give her an edge on the court. Federer, on the other hand, seems enthusiastic about the versatility of the “Clubhouse Pro” for various racquet sports.
