Rick Ross is stirring up the boxing world with a wild plan for a ‘Thrilla in Manila 3’ featuring none other than Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield. The hip-hop mogul, who now owns the sprawling 109-room mansion once belonging to Holyfield, has proposed hosting the trilogy fight right on his front lawn, adding a dramatic twist to the legendary boxing rivalry.

Tyson and Holyfield’s infamous bouts in the late ’90s still resonate with fans today. Their first clash in 1996 saw Holyfield triumph, but the rematch a year later became iconic for all the wrong reasons when Tyson was disqualified for biting off part of Holyfield’s ear. Now, Ross envisions a third bout, this time in a much more unconventional setting—his own backyard.

In a passionate video posted on social media, Ross excitedly declared, “Thrilla in Manila III is going down in my front yard! Once Tyson takes down Jake Paul, I’ll set up a ring right here for Tyson vs. Holyfield. And we’re doing it big—I want Snoop Dogg, Kevin Hart, and DJ Akademiks as judges!”

Ross’s idea, while unconventional, certainly has fans talking. The idea of two legendary fighters going head-to-head on the front lawn of Holyfield’s former home—now a testament to his boxing glory—adds a nostalgic twist. The 235-acre estate, famously known as “The Promised Land,” has all the space needed for such a spectacle.

Despite the excitement, the reality of a Tyson vs. Holyfield III remains questionable. Holyfield’s last exhibition fight in 2021 ended disastrously, with him being knocked out by Vitor Belfort in the first round, raising concerns about his ability to fight at this stage of his life. Tyson, meanwhile, has fared better in his post-retirement bouts and is gearing up to face Jake Paul in a fully sanctioned match this November.

For Tyson, this new chapter seems to fuel his drive. “This fight is about me doing what I want to do,” Tyson told FOX40 News, dismissing concerns from family and fans about his health and age. “I’m always going to test myself. It’s what keeps me alive, gives me life within myself.”

Whether Ross’s ambitious dream will come to life remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure: if it happens, it will be one of the most memorable moments in both boxing and entertainment history
